Since 1981, E-Z Tours has been more than a travel company—it’s been a movement. Founded by visionary trailblazer Selma Edwards, our mission has always been bold and beautiful: to connect people to the heart of Africa and the soul of the world through unforgettable, culturally rich experiences.

What began as a simple idea—make Africa accessible to everyone—quickly turned into a powerful travel revolution. Selma partnered with churches, HBCUs, social clubs, colleges and universities, dance troupes, sports clinics, and libraries, transforming group travel into a cultural celebration. She didn’t just organize tours—she created life-changing adventures.

Radio waves turned into runways when she teamed up with legendary stations like WDAS (Philly) and WBLS (NYC)—turning listeners into global explorers.
Her bold vision helped Essence Magazine bring African fashion to center stage with its first travel edition focusing on Côte d’Ivoire.  She broke barriers with “Black History Month in Africa,” offering exclusive February trips through innovative partnerships with airlines, hotels, and local guides.

Then came the African Music festivals… and history was made.
With her special events company SELCO, Selma brought the world to Africa’s biggest cultural stages—The South Africa Music Festival, which is still going on today, and CultureFest in Côte d’Ivoire. And, we must mention the legendary Free Nelson Mandela Concert in Senegal, where a young Youssou N'Dour first captivated global audiences.

Today, Selma’s vision is carried on by her daughters, who lead E-Z Tours with the same dedication and heart. They continue to design purposeful journeys—all over the world and always with a focus on culture, community, and connection.
