Cartagena Calling:

Colombia's Caribbean Soul, Just 5 Hours Away

Ready for a plot twist? This morning you're somewhere in the United States. By this afternoon, you could be wandering cobblestone streets in a city that feels like it was built for daydreaming. Welcome to Cartagena, closer than you'd guess, and unlike anywhere else on your travel bucket list. Get ready to be surprised!

Join us on our 2nd annual trip to Cartagena.  We had so much fun last year, we had to do it again. Step into the Walled City, a UNESCO World Heritage gem, and get ready to stop every few feet to look at the street art. It's storytelling splashed across every wall in color, and you'll find yourself snapping photos of murals you didn't even plan to notice. Wander candlelit plazas, watch dancers twirl through the streets in flowing traditional dress, and let the Walled City work its magic on you.

The fun doesn't stop at the city limits. Get ready to laugh as you sink into the warm, bubbling mud of a real volcano at Totumo. Yes, an actual volcano!  Float, relax, and let a local woman finish the experience with a massage tradition passed down for generations. Not far away, the Pink Lake of Galerazamba will have your camera roll thanking you , its rosy hue looks almost too perfect to be real.

And then, get ready to fall in love with Palenque. The moment you arrive, the vibrant Palenquera women will steal the show, dressed head to toe in bold, joyful colors, radiating warmth, pride, and rhythm with every step. Beyond the unforgettable style, Palenque carries a history that will stop you in your tracks: founded by Africans who freed themselves from enslavement, it proudly holds the title of the first free town in the Americas. A UNESCO-recognized treasure of culture, language, and resilience.

Of course, all this adventure works up an appetite  and Cartagena delivers. Think fish so fresh it practically jumped onto your plate, tropical fruit handed to you with a smile by the vendors, and flavors that will have you planning your next trip before this one even ends.

So, are you ready to find out why everyone who visits Cartagena comes home saying the same thing? Come see for yourself. This city doesn't just welcome you. It dances you in.
